December 2005
On November 29th, Cooper had a small seizure during dinner for about 5-10 seconds. His head went forward, eyes rolled up, and then his eyes, head and arms started shaking. The movements were pretty subtle and he stayed sitting the whole time. He snapped out of it when his head turned to the right. We questioned whether he did it on purpose and he said no. We asked him if he could do it again and he said no. He did try to imitate the motion and shake his eyes and arms but it was not the same. He seemed to know that something strange had happened. He described the episode as magic and talked about a rock. We asked where the rock was and he said it was hitting his head. We asked if he could hear us talking and he said he did but he couldn't understand us. On December 14 we had an EEG to check him out. Unfortunately, we had to keep Cooper up most of the night which was tough. He was begging us to let him go to sleep.
