Cooper helped on the garage insulation / drywalling project. He always pulls out his tools when it is time to do a project and helps. He's more aware now that his tools are just toys and teeters between wanting to use them and not. We're starting to let him use real tools with our help. He's pretty proud of himself when he actually uses a real hammer or drill to help on a real project.
Cooper started his second soccer season this month. His team is called the Fireballs. He has some friends from last season on his team. This season runs about 10 weeks with practices each week. Pretty big commitment for 4-5 year olds. Still no idea if they won or lost.
We took Cooper letterboxing for the first time today. Basically, people hide stuff all over the world and leave clues on-line on how to find the hidden stash. The stash is usually a stamp and notebook in a Tupperware container. You then stamp a notebook that you bring and leave your stamp and message on the notebook in the letterbox. We thought that this would be a fun way to make hikes and bike rides even more fun for Cooper. He looks at it as a treasure hunt. He loves it.
Michelle and Cooper went to the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO for a Day Out with Thomas. Michelle went to this museum when she was two and a half years old (and we have the photos). We have shots of Cooper and Michelle both as kids on the same trains.
Cooper helping me build our new swingset (with work goggles on). Cooper asked for a swingset and that day Michelle found one for free. No directions or pictures but we figured it out without too much trouble.
