July 2008
Fletcher got very mobile this month. He started to really crawl fast on all fours and pull himself up. He loves his new-found independence and really likes to get into things.
Fletcher gets very excited to see Daddy when he comes home and says "Da Da" and dives for Tom if Michelle is holding him. He also is saying "Ma Ma"
7/4: Fletcher went to his first parade and saw fireworks for the first time. He really seemed to like them despite the loud noise.
7/4: Cooper loved the party we went to for the 4th. He was lying with Tom on the beach and watching fireworks and said "Fireworks, the beach, sparklers....it doesn't get any better than this!" Then Tom mentioned that they had s'mores and he got a huge grin on his face and said "I guess it does!"
7/7: Fletcher started pulling himself up.
7/12: Fletcher saw Michelle go out the patio door in the kitchen at G & G T's. He immediately crawled over to a window off the patio (but in the family room) to see her. It seemed pretty clever that he knew he could see her.
7/28: Cooper started first grade.
Visiting Grandpa and Grandma W
Cooper and his friend Ryan on the wooden Meteor roller coaster at little Amerricka near Madison, WI.
Cooper was pretty excited about bumper boats after learning how to ride bumper cars a few months earlier. Unfortunately, he had no idea how to steer so they just went in circles until Ryan took over.
We went to a wedding to go to in Wisconsin over Fourth of July weekend and found a nice parade in Evansville, WI
Pearl Lake near Redgranite, WI for Andy and Lynne's wedding
First time pulling himself up. He was very proud of himself. Fletcher is also crawling around very fast now.
Fletcher doing 'hanny for dance' with Aunt Mary. He loves music and dancing.
Fletcher loves to get into things! When Grandma would open up the dishwasher, he would crawl as fast as he could to get to it before she closed it.
Visting Lisa, Tom, Olivia, and Jack S. Jack and his sister really liked Cooper and he really liked them too.
Starting first grade. He kept saying how excited he was to be going into first grade because he would get three recesses. With all of the parents in the classroom and the teacher introducing herself Cooper raised his hand and asked "Are you going to go easy on us?" She laughed and asked if they were going to go easy on her. After the first couple days Cooper told us that she was going too easy on them and treated them like "pre-schoolers"
