Day 13: Medical Exam
This morning we took Sawyer's visa photo and had to go for a medical exam at a local hospital. Sawyer was fussy from the get go today and fell asleep for his nap early.
This little girl, Eden, had the crib next to Sawyer in the orphanage. She shares her food with him and when she saw him across the hotel lobby last night she got excited.
This is our travel group. The exams were set up in three stations. Cursory at best. The doctor asked me how Sawyer seemed mentally since he was diagnosed with 'poor brain development'. I think he is healthy.
After a long nap, we had time to kill before heading out to the Pearl River cruise. Fortunately, the outdoor play area was busy. Sawyer really liked the bubbles but not enough to actually put his slice of pizza down.
At the playground I taught Sawyer how to climb up the ladders. It was not intuitive to him at all. I had to move his legs so he got the motion. Eventually he did alright. Where he really shined climbing though was on the boat during our cruise later in the day. He kept climbing up the railing.
Getting ready for the Pearl River cruise. Everyone was staring at the little blond girls in our group. The cruise was OK. Very pretty scenery with so-so food (and not enough of it)
