Day 7: Finalize Adoption

< Last Day    Next Day>

We had a nice breakfast at our hotel. Sawyer will eat everything and likes me to feed him.  Sometimes he picks up food and puts it in my hand so I can put it in his mouth.

After that we returned to the same office building as yesterday to finalize the adoption.  It is official now.  He's our son.

We were called up family by family to get a certificate for the finalized adoption.

After that was done we had to get some paperwork notarized so we can apply for a Chinese passport.  After a short nap it was on the bus again to take passport photos and apply for the passport.  Lot's of running around and standing in line.

We had dinner at a nearby restaurant. Sawyer and Eden sat across from each other and 'talked' back and forth.  Eden is just ~2 weeks younger than Sawyer. They come from the same orphanage and we wonder if they know each other (it's not certain since they both might have been in foster care for part of the time).

Now we wait for our passports to be processed.  Every day so far on this trip has been very full. Tomorrow will be slow.  I'm tired.  Sawyer is tired. The group I'm traveling with is tired.  Sawyer slept 12 hours last night and I had to wake him up.  It will be good to sleep in tomorrow morning.
