Day 9: Zhengzhou
Today is another down day waiting for Sawyer's Chinese passport. I think we should get it tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll also get to go see Sawyer's orphanage. I have mixed feelings about going.
Sawyer and I took a walk to the nearby park. Lots of people stared at us.
Sawyer is testing me. He can be a little naughty and I've let things slide. This afternoon I put my foot down on something and he got really sad. The good news is this is the first day he's really cried. All the other days, he'd whimper or just stay stoic and that bothered me.
When a child is abandoned a notice is put in the local newspaper. This is Sawyer's newspaper announcement from ~2 years ago. He was found 12/29/2010 and they estimated his birth date to be 11/20/2010. The English translation is shown below.
