Day 15: Apply for Visa
We applied for Tess's visa today. They have had processing issues in recent weeks. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it gets issued tomorrow. In the afternoon, our group of 11 families (with 13 adopted children) met for a group photograph. All of the adopted kids dress in nice Chinese clothes. We then went out for a group dinner.
If the Visa comes through tomorrow, we pack and get ready to leave very early the following morning. We will take a van to Hong Kong and then a 14-hour flight from Hong Kong to Chicago. Tess again got sick in the car this morning. We're worried about how she will do on our trip.
On a sad note Grandpa Williamson died last night. He won't meet Tess.
Thirteen children adopted in our group. Eleven of them have special needs or are hard to place because they are older. Our adoption agency (CCAIfamily.org) has completed over 11,000 Chinese adoptions.
Our Guangzhou guides Jason and Kathy. They were great.
