Day 17: Guangzhou to Chicago
We woke up at 4:45 am in Guangzhou and took a ~3 hour van ride to Hong Kong. Our flight out of Hong Kong was non-stop to Chicago. Our departure time was 11:40 am. We arrived in Chicago a little over 15 hours later at 2:00pm local time. Tess did well.
We drove to Grandma's house to see the boys. They had decorated the yard and kitchen with balloons. Tess was a little overwhelmed by the attention and she is feeling tired and under the weather.
Later this week we will attend Grandpa Williamson's funeral in Illinois and then we will drive home to Denver. It will be good to get home and sleep in our own beds.
