Day 25: Fly to Chicago

< Last Day    Next Month>

Very long travel day today.  We started in Guangzhou at 6 am.

It took us about 24 hours door-to-door.

We took a three-hour van ride to Hong Kong. During the ride we passed through Tess' birth city. Therefore, we actually passed through every birth city of our four Chinese kids during this trip.

Sawyer (Zhengzhou).  Tess (Dongguan).  Finn (Shenyang).  Tate (Louyang).

Our flight was delayed about an hour but they made up time in the air so we were in the air just over 14 hours.  We flew into Chicago.

When we landed Finn and Tate become American citizens.

As we headed towards immigration, we noticed that Chicago's sister city is Shenyang, China. That is where Finn was born. We spent a week in Shenyang during our trip.

At Grandma T's house south of Chicago.  The littles were outside

waiting for us to pull in.  We were away from them for too long.

Michelle's mom (and Tom's sister) watched Sawyer, Nash, and Tess for us.

We still have a drive to Denver ahead of us.  It will be good to get everyone home.
