Day 4: Tour Beijing (Great Wall)
We visited the Great Wall today. Fletcher crutched, crawled, and was carried but he did it. He must have posed for over 100 photos with Chinese people today. They were giving him the thumbs up sign, some girls were telling him how brave he was, one boy wanted to carry his crutches as he shimmied down steps, and one man actually gave him a kiss on his forehead.
Cooper walked in the steeper direction and he had a lot of Chinese posing with him for photos too.
Many Chinese wanted to practice their English but we sensed they knew several phrases but could not engage in any back and forth conversation.
We visited a jade factory and Michelle, Cooper, and Fletcher went to an acrobatics shows afterwards.
This six-year-old boy in our adoption group (he was adopted four years ago and his parents are adopting again) has really taken to Fletcher
One girl had Cooper make a half heart sign with his hands and she made the other half with hers. After the photo she ran back to her friends and they giggled.
Our Beijing tour guide George.
