July 2005
Cooper was running through the sprinklers in the backyard and having a ball. Then he stopped and looked at us and said "This is the life!" Cooper was tossing one of his toys around "doing tricks". I told him to stop doing it and he said to me "Maybe you could go in another room and then you wouldn't see me doing it." I asked Cooper what he was looking forward to play with at Grandma W's house. He thought for a second and then said "her"
We took Cooper on his first camping trip. We went to the Glacier Basin Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park. Our neighbors organized the trip which included 7 kids under age 6 and 9 adults including Uncle Jeff. Cooper loved camping and had a blast. We asked him his favorite part of the trip and he keeps coming up with different answers (the headlight, the hail storm (it hailed 2-3 inches one day), his sleeping bag...). We went to bed the first night and Cooper sat up and said "Where my milk?" We told him we did not have any. We were waiting for him to start crying. Instead, he thought a second and then said "That's alright mommy"
