We asked Cooper to put away a game in the cabinet.  He didn't want to but finally opened the door to put it away.   He then said "I can't put it in there, it's a terrible mess"

Cooper told me that he wanted to be a sloth.  When I asked him what he had said, he told me "A sloth. You know, they have three toes and they walk really slow.”

Cooper was playing with his trucks.  He has them talk to each other (he's doing a lot of play acting now and can entertain himself for a long time).  One truck did a jump and the other told him "That was a brilliant jump"

Cooper told Mom "Your silly attitude makes me laugh"

We travelled over Guinella Pass near Georgetown, CO to see if the Aspen trees were turning color (they just started).  At the pass we got out and hiked a short while.  The elevation here was about 11,500 ft. A little chilly and very windy.

The next day we went for a 2-3 mile hike near our house at Deer Creek Canyon Open Space with our neighbors. Cooper and Elizabeth did a great job and we had a nice picnic at the end of the hike.  The kids were getting tired about half way into the hike so Michelle gave them each 'energy rocks' to carry.  They immediately had more energy.
