Day 12: Mykonos, Greece
We visited Mykonos, Greece today. All the structures on the island must be painted white. This was pretty.
The summer is not a great time to visit the Greek Islands. It was very hot and humid. The islands are small and multiple cruise ships flood them with visitors and make them very crowded which makes it difficult to appreciate and enjoy them.
The port was not deep enough for our ship so we took a tender to shore (the cruise ships anchors off shore and small ships take passengers to and from port).

Panagia Tourliani Monastery
This was built in 1542. The name comes from an icon of the Virgin Mary found in the nearby town of Tourlos.
