Adoption Trip for Tess
After 8.5 years, we're finally going to China to get our little girl. Her Chinese name is Yang Ning Jing. We will call her Tess Marie. She was born in Dongguan City in the Guangdong Province. Dongguan is ~80 miles north of Hong Kong.
Tess was born on October 21, 2013. She will be 20 months old when we get her. When we started this adoption process back in 2006, we thought we'd get a little girl within 18 months. Our login date was Christmas Day 2006. China then dramatically slowed down the adoption process and 8.5 years later we are finally bringing home our daughter. Tess was supposed to be our second child but she is ending up as our fifth child.
Days 1 and 2: Chicago to Beijing (June 10 and 11)
Day 4: Tour Beijing (Great Wall)
Day 6: Meet Tess (June 15, 2015)
Day 8: Medical Exam, Visa Photo, Passport Application
Day 11: Museum and Adoption Paperwork
Day 12: Reunite with Adoption Group / Buddhist Temple and Old Chen House / Visa Paperwork
Day 17: Drive to Hong Kong. Fly to Chicago
